Professionals do a great job curating collections by age in school settings: teachers, librarians, and administrators. While there have been book challenges in the past, this is a contrived issue over the last 5 years that is meant to divide us."

On LGBTQ+ rights, "this is an area of special importance in my personal life and in my candidacy, and I will be a tireless and unapologetic advocate. My eldest son was trans, my daughter is gay, and the continued persecution of our local youth here in Lancaster is something I want to end at the state level. In addition, as a middle school teacher, my classroom and school are a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth. We advocate in Harrisburg and Washington DC every year, and we also hold a youth advocacy conference for middle and high school GSAs. in other words, I can back up my slogan that PA can do better, and we deserve better."
