Keystone Equality’s primary missions at this time are to:

PROVIDE PENNSYLVANIA LGBTQ+ PEOPLE A STRONG POLITICAL VOICE by presenting LGBTQ+ voters clear information on the stand of every candidate running for office, on LGBTQ+ issues, in order to vote accordingly is Keystone Equality’s prime current mission.

This information will include how all candidates answer LGBTQ+ issues questionnaires that Keystone Equality sends each of them, will publicly present their voting records on pro and anti LGBTQ+ issues, and will outline other actions that elected officials and those running for office may take that could have an affect on the rights and welfare of LGBTQ+ people in Pennsylvania.

Providing voters transparent information frequently WILL sway elected officials to take more positive actions regarding creating, sponsoring, and voting for legislation. It will help Keystone Equality lobby elected officials and candidates, especially those seeking endorsement. It will also help LGBTQ+ individuals in the state engage those politicians on their support and actions on particular issues.

The leaders of Keystone Equality have had decades of positive results by providing voters with this kind of information. Providing voter information, even just helping voters understand who their elected officials are, can and does actually change the course of elections.

From local School Board, to officials in Harrisburg, to top policy makers in Washington, one of Keystone Equality’s prime missions is to bring you clear information, so you can make an informed vote on key LGBTQ+ issues.
